Payment & Cancellation Policy
SEA KAYAK RENTALS
Payment Information – Payment will be made in full at time of booking, using our Secure Online Store. Once payment has been made, a ticket/receipt will be emailed within 24 hours to confirm your reservation.
Cancellation Policy – If you do have to cancel:
- with 31+ days advance notice you’ll receive a full refund, minus a $10/kayak processing fee
- with 15-30 days advance notice you’ll receive a 50% refund
- with 14 days or less advance notice there will be no refund
GUIDED DAY TOURS
Payment Information – Payment will be made in full at time of booking, using our Secure Online Store. Once payment has been made, a ticket/receipt will be emailed within 24 hours to confirm your reservation.

- with 31+ days advance notice you’ll receive a full refund, minus a $25/person processing fee
- with 15-30 days advance notice you’ll receive a 50% refund
- with 14 days or less advance notice there will be no refund
PLEASE NOTE – The following applies to both kayak rentals & guided day tours:
- We highly recommend that you reserve your kayak rental or tour well in advance of your paddle date to ensure availability. The months of June through August are especially busy.
- SSOA reserves the right to cancel kayak rentals or tours on the day of service if unsafe paddling conditions develop, in which case you will receive a full refund.
- If your cruiseship is delayed or has an itinerary change that forces the cancellation of your kayak rental or tour, we guarantee you will receive a full refund.
MULTI-DAY EXPEDITIONS
Payment Information – Payment must be made in full within 7 calendar days of booking, using our Secure Online Store. Once payment has been made, a receipt will be emailed within 24 hours to confirm your reservation.
Cancellation Policy – If you do have to cancel:
- with 31+ days advance notice you’ll receive a full refund, minus a $50/person processing fee
- with 15-30 days advance notice you’ll receive a 50% refund
- with 14 days or less advance notice there will be no refund
We will do our best to work with you to reschedule an expedition should it become necessary, but please advise as soon as possible if a situation arises that may effect your travel plans – our ability to make equipment available, and re-assign guides, is greatly diminished on short notice.
- We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that might disrupt your vacation plans.
